Easy CD Creator came with my burner -- I QUICKLY switched over to Nero.  Its is the absolute best - -especially for burning my VCDs from DvDs :)

I have always found Easy CD Creator to be pretty unstable.  It came with my CD-RW and frequently gave Illegal Operation messages.  I tried v6 recently and it was no better.

Nero is rock solid and more flexible in my opinion.

I've made more coasters with Nero. I have a 99% success rate with Roxio 6. No coasters with Roxio, but it scrambled up an MP3 backup of my cd's. The only thing I can say to describe the sound of ProjeKct 3 - Deception of the Thrush - being subjected to such excruciating torture is some form of audible pain. Like hearing a computer trying to whistle the sounds of a modem.
(Of course, this isn't helped by my insatiable lust for LOUD music, and the high volume at which I play it. OW!)
