BitDefender is often rated as the best antivirus protection by many reviewers. Currently, they are running some really great specials depending on the package you buy. Specials start at $39.95 for 2 year subscriptions for 2 computers. 30 day trials are available for every package.

FYI: The readme notes state that BitDefender is not compatible with Spybot Search & Destroy. Since I use Spy Sweeper, this is not a concern for me.
