Hi everyone, long time no post.
I'm in the process of upgrading my Pentium III Quantex to a Pentium 4. I got a new pull board, a P4 2.4ghz chip, and 1gb of ddr memory. Everything should work, but when I turn it on, all that shows up on the screen is the "Intel Inside Pentium 4" logo, and doesn't go into bios or anything. Any reason for this?
Thanks,
JoeS
If you press TAB, can you see the text-based BIOS POST screen?
Sure happy to see that someone is still using a Quantex.
My daughter is stilll using the first puter I owned (in the 80's) and it had a gigantic 35 GB HD
She just lets the kids (my great grand kids) play with it . as I sent her a new dell a few years ago
No monkeys available there Ace...just kids
I forgot to add that that was about the time this poasters thingy got started
