Stupid of the day!

Is there any easy way to convert a .gif  to .ico?

Needed software or otherwise?

.ico are made from .bmp that are 16x16 pixels, 32x32, or 48x48 (I think). So, you need to convert from .jpg to a .bmp of the correct size, then rename the .bmp file to .ico.

You can use your favorite graphic editor such as Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop, etc. There is also a nice freeware program called Irfanview that can do simple conversions like that.
