Will a 24 connector powersupply work with a
athlon xp motherboard. I want to upgrade but cant afford it as of right now so  i thought i would get the case and psu...that way i would atleast have the case to upgrade,,, and for right now to keep my athlon xp  system cooler and perhaps more quite. So with the same case and powersupply, (looking at an antec server case/psu combo 2.0) is it possible?

With the Antec 24 pin power connector, the extra 4 pins are just clipped on and can be removed to make them backward compatible with 20 pin motherboards. Some of the others I?ve seen include an adapter so you can use them with 20 pin boards.
