Scuzzy,

Nice looking camera. No viewfinder? I would sure take it outside and see if you can even see it in the sun/bright open sky. I have a Kodak DC 240. There is no way you can see the lcd screen if its bright outside. Otherwise sounds like a nice setup. I use mine a lot to document my work and send emails back and forth with clients. I have found that a simple picture can save hours of explaining.

A lot of the folks I work for live in the city and have second homes out here.

Enjoy,

Pat

The camera will be used almost exclusively indoors, but I'll take your suggestion just the same. Once the sun pops back out, that is. The camera does have a "viewfinder" accessory, though. It's an attachment that snaps over the LCD.

Ok, I was wondering how you would see that screen outside.

That would be a nice thing to have for my camera, but, I don't think it is obtainable for my model. I like to do some close ups I even bought a set of macro lens. Since you have to use the LCD screen for close ups and macro. Inside is my only option for that stuff.

Here is a shot I took last winter when my Christmas cactus was in bloom.

I just bought a Sony digital camera for my company at BestBuy for just under $900 after taxes, including accessories. I haven't had a chance to play with it much, but it sure is impressive.

A few stats:

$799.99

2.1 megapixel

2.5" LCD screen (no viewfinder)

3x optical zoom, 6x digital zoom

Uses 156MB, 3" CD-R or CD-R/W

MPEG movie mode (90+ mins on one CD)

Uses camcorder type, rechargeable battery

Anywhere from 100+ to 1,000+ digital images per CD

We'll see how well it does over time.
