Second Battery in Amilo D7820

I LOVE MY AMILO D7820!!!!!
Sorry - just had to get that out :)

Right - I have found a local source for new / second batteries for the Amilo D series and am thinking of getting one.
Is it possible to remove the CDRW/DVD drive and put a second battery in there so I can have 2 batteries in at the same time thus doubling the power time? It would be MUCH handier than swapping batteries all the time y'know?

Some notebooks allow a second battery;  others don't - your manual should indicate whether or not the system supports a second battery.
