quicktime cracks

whenever i try to use quicktime, it just loads for a second then cracks...anything i can do about it?

Do you have the quicktime player installed or are you just downloading quicktime files and trying to open them?

yes, i have quicktime...the 5.0.  it came with the computer.

i just went to the link you gave me and downloaded the itunes for winxp...is that the right one, or should i have gotten the regular quicktime for xp? do i have to delete the old version?  thanks
