Another exit from the hard drive business?

Rumor mill says another company is about to partially or completely exit the hard drive business - this time, Hitachi.  With Toshiba about to outsource production of LCD panels to Sharp, and Hitachi considering a drive business spin-off, the Japanese giants appear to be focusing elsewhere.
