Hi everyone. I own a Plextor 48-24-48 CD-RW.  It is running on an ASUS A7S333 with Win 2000 Pro and the system is very stable.  The drive is recognized by Windows, and I can copy information and run programs directly from a CD in the drive.  However, neither Nero nor Wavelab can find this drive.  I can't write anything to it.  How can this drive be recognized by Windows and not any burning software?  Hardware profiles say that everything is fine.  I searched for a different driver, but Windows states that the best driver is already being used. I've contacted Plextor support, but I'd appreciate any assistance you can offer.

Thanks.

Neon

Are you using a recent version of Nero? You may not like this, but have a look at what Nero says here.

I think that's exactly it, Neon.  Thank you for the great detective work.  I'll get an update sometime this week and see if it resolves the issue.

Thanks again! :)
