I have taken physics, but it has been a while, and I can't quite figure this out:

Basically, I am taking a 12v 80mm fan, wiring it to a USB cables power connection so it can be run externally, powered via USB. The problem is USB only provides 3v, and the fan wants 12v, so as expected, the fan is spinning with 1/4 the power, so it is much weaker than it should be. The fan is only drawing .15amps, is there a way to make it draw more since USB can provide more amps, but not more volts? Maybe with resitors or something? Alternatively, does anyone know where I can get an 80mm fan meant to run off of 3v?

Thanks

Thanks JA.

That is basically what I did, save the stand. The fan works, but as the person's in the videos probably does as well, it only gets 1/4 the power it is supposed to, and is thus much weaker than it should be. I have the fan in place already to cool a computer in a nearly sealed cabinet, and it is definitely helping, but I having the fan spinning at full speed would keep temps down much more efficiently.

Any ideas, let me know!

That is a possible last resort. The fan is setup to be installed in the cabinet permanently, but I was hoping to use parts I already have, and then just get a cheap resistor or something to make it draw more amps.
