If you're not looking for all-out 3D performance (and it sounds like

you're not), look into one of the Radeon cards.  They don't outdo

nVidia on 3D, but they're better performers from a multimedia and

2D display quality standpoint.

darksilence, welcome back to Poasters Forum. Right now there is a virtual conicopia of Video/Graphic cards to choose from. As well as many retailers sites to choose from. I would say what you get depends a lot on what kind of Graphic adapter you have. PCI, or AGP. 2X or 4X. You might want to take a look at this for an idea ZDNET Can you tell us what kind of video/graphics port you computer uses.

Video cards is not my area .. but i can tell you that my motherboard does and is using an AGP.

but if a video card uses DDR ... does the motherboard have to use DDR RAM too?

hi ..

i'm currently using a NVIDIA TNT2 Model 64 video card. I'm looking to get a faster and better quality one. Can someone suggest to me a good video card that will be price worthy and excellent quality? I play games once in a while, a watch movies on my computer a few times a week. My system info: 650Duron, 256RAM, Gigabyte 7ZM mobo, 30GB HD.
