I have a Toshiba Tecra 720cdt Laptop running Win 98SE.
I went out a bought a Mouse/Kybrd splitter cable.
But for the life of me I can only get one or the other running, Surely I must be missing some silly setup situation. It is a generic 102 kybrd and a tech optical mouse. As I said if I plug either one in to the laptop directly they work. But with the splitter cable only the mouse works. I am hoping someone on the group will be able to walk me thru this so I can learn what I did wrong. I will thank any and all for the time to reply.

I am also looking for a memory upgrade board for the 720 if anyone may have one they would be willing to part with or sell to me.

PS2 splitters will not necessarily work on all laptops.  Having said that, it is unlikely that the Toshiba does not support them.

They are very simple devices and there is not a lot that you can do wrong with them.  Take a look at this article and try their suggestions.
