A friend asked me to try an repair this old but like new laptop. For starters,, it turns off and reboots as in cold start when you adjust screen angle. I can get screen cover off but I want to get under keyboard. How do you remove it?

Usually, you have to remove a set of screws on the bottom of the machine, and then lift off the top cover.  The keyboard can then be easily removed - it is usually clipped in rather than screwed into the chassis.
