Macintosh Keyboards, Mice, Trackballs, etc. CAN be Used on your Notebook with the help of a nifty device called the iMate from Griffin Technology (www.griffintechnology.com).  I have had a genuine Apple Extended Keyboard II for many years longing for a home.  If you are not familiar with the Apple ADB keyboards, they were Apple's equivalent to the original IBM keyboard which was designed to emulate the IBM selectric typewriter (same look and feel).  The Apple keyboard weighs about 3-4 lbs and was a $159 option.  They are still available, reconditioned for $59, but it's hard to compete with the $5 keyboards out there.

The iMate is USB to ADB adapter which plugged and played with no problem on my Quantex TS30I running Windows 2000 Professional.  The iMate lists for $39 and most suppliers seem to carry it for around $35.
