First off, that's a great gif you selected. It fits you well!



I've never used Word 2000, but I would think you can get what you need the same way as in Word 97, as follows:



To set the default font



The default font applies to new documents based on the active template.



1. On the Format menu, click Font.

2. Select the options you want to apply to the default font.

3. Click Default.



Tip: If your document already contains text formatted with the properties you want to use, select the text before you begin this procedure. The formatting of the selected text will be selected in the dialog box.



If this doesn't work in Word 2000, click on your help "Contents and Index", and under the Index tab look for "Font" "default" to help you out.

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the font and make it stay for each time you open Word to type a new document.
