Adobe Elements Purple problem!

I just installed Adobe Elements and everytime I try to open a picture from another folder on my pc it ends up looking like a negative but its all purple.  You can make out what it is but it's purple.  The pics look fine when I view them in the original folder though!

Any ideas???
