tv tuner problems

Im pretty sure this would belong in here as i think its a software problem.  I recently bought a ati tv wonder ve.  I have it set-up perfectly the only problem im having is that when i capture video it doesnt play sound i dont quite know what to do?

System Specs
-windows 2000
amd athlon 2200+
1Gb Corsair pc 3200 ram
Nvidia Geforce fx5600
biostar nforce2 m7ncd pro
ati tv wonder ve (value edition)
sound card- soundblaster 16 with surround sound support. i also could use the onboard but does not work as well with my speaker set-up
