After reading the reviews of the KT600 mobos in Tom's Hardware, I decided to take a look at the Epox EP-8KRA2+.  It no longer exists, after only about 6 months following the hype.  The socket "A", 8 IDE, RAID, hyper LAN board that sold for well over $100.00 had its last known sale on DumpingGoods.com (That says it all) for the price of $34.00, refurbished.  The board had the highest performance rating at the time, compared to MSI, Soyo, Gigabyte, Soltek, and another that slips my mind.

That reminds me of the stores that are not stocking Digital cameras, but only have display units.  By the time the cameras are sold, the price has dropped below the original cost; and the only way they can cover their sales is to order as wanted at the current wholesale price (and hope that they do not get caught in an over-night drop in the retail price).
