I know, I know look it up on google.  I have and really there is no better place than here asking the experts.  What seems to be one of the better widescreen 22" monitors out there today.  Monitors are always being replaced with new ones every so often so it is hard to keep up.  Thanks.

Aside from googling reviews for a particular monitor, I often use the reviews on NewEgg to help make a decision. Pat reviewed a 22" Samsung monitor last year. You can find his review in this thread.

I got cheap and purchased a 19" Hannspree monitor at my local BestBuy a month or two ago. I don't remember what I paid anymore, but it wasn't much. Regardless, the monitor is excellent for the price, as well as for its intended use.

Anyway, if you're looking for high quality, I'd stick with the Samsung, LG, NEC and ViewSonic crowd. If you want high quality while saving a buck, then Hanns-G monitors are worth considering. My personal favorite is still Samsung.

And I have 2 LG Flatrons that I think are terrific.  Much of what is 'best' among the names Scuzzy mentioned will be determined by who is looking and judging.
