Title: An alternative audio extractor.
Post by: Traveller on March 22, 2009, 04:15 hrs
Hi All.

AOA Audio Extractor seemed ideal for my needs but the problem is that you cannot set the start and end times manually (not for a longer file anyway). There is a slider bar which goes up/down in increments of a few seconds so you end up with unwanted audio in the final clip.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a similar simple alternative that I could try (freeware, W98SE).

Thanks.

Hi JA.

Thanks for your info.

AOA is quite basic; there are hardly any options/settings, so I am almost 100% sure that it cannot be done. However, there is always the option of using a different program to handle the editing afterwards. Just wanted something to do both.

Thanks for the link you provided. The VirtualDub program in the list and which also was mentioned by Pat in my video related thread; can't it be made to do audio also?

Thanks.
