xp pro downloads

when i was using xp home i was able to download as many files as i wanted at the same time, now that i have installed xp pro i can only do 2 files at a time, is there a fix for this???

XP Pro should be able to download as many files as you want. I assume you are using the same internet connection, meaning the broadband is the same?

What software are you using: Internet Explorer? What firewall?

The problem is most likely your firewall settings or it could be a coincidence with the internet provider.
Enjoy the nature that is around you rather than destroying it.

i'm using nortons but i disable it and still only get 2 per site.

i tried the registry edit and it didn't help the only thing differnent is now i'm using xp pro intead of xp home

This is a feature of Internet Explorer:

"To comply with current Internet standards (Request for Comments 2068), Internet Explorer limits the number of simultaneous downloads to two downloads, plus one queued download. This configuration is a function of the browser."

i tried what the link says but it still doesn't seem to work.
