function keys

function keys[Fn] of my sony laptop arent working.
my laptop came with xp and i installed win2k on it. After that my function keys arent working and also in device manager it gives 4 unknown devices.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check with Sony. There may be drivers for the keyboard functions - and check with them for chipset drivers.  If you have  one of the newer chipsets (say a P4 or newer Athlon chipset) you  may need drivers from Intel or VIA (or ATI, if it uses an ATI chipset) for 2000  -- XP likely has native support, but other OSes don't.
