I just bought a new laptop from dell,
and im loving the mobility of it! but one thing kinda bugs me. Theres a strip of brighter light on the very bottom running from left to right... anything i can do to get rid of this? or is this one of those things expected from lcd?

btw when i lower my head so that im levelk  with this strip of light it disapears
but the problem  is that  thats not the optimal viewing angle and makes everything too dark to see  on the upper half. any suggestions?

heh ya that might be it now that i think about it.....this is my first experience with a laptop so im a newb when it comes to them and Lcds as well. thx ;D maybe i pay to much attention to detail. but when you buy something so expensive it gives you the uncanny ability to see imperfections.

It varies from pane to panel due to differing back light designs.

Usually, edges are slightly brighter than the center, and depending on your angle on the screen, this may be more or less noticeable. With my screens, these things are only noticeable on very dark screens, not on lighter ones.
