Title: Site misbehaving
Post by: Bill on November 20, 2009, 07:27 hrs
something strange going on here.  This AM (5:46) I had 5 notifications of 'new' poasts, all of which were months old.

I think it's more likely to be something to do with your e-mail provider than Poasters.  I've had similar things happen when my ISP has changed servers, restored backups etc.

I could be wrong though........

Good thought Buff. My ISP has outsourced email to Google and I have found them to be very slow many times.  Just didn't occur to me.  Poasters notifications were the only ones.

I think want happened is you had the notification set to let you know of replies to poasts. And there was indeed 5 replies to poasts that I removed as well as the poastie, (poaster?)

Even though we have implemented a new system of checks to help stop spammers, some who are not in the database slip through, and that, I believe, is what happened in this case.
