Yesterday I went to Best Buy to pick up a LAN cable. I needed to extend the ethernet cable between my cable modem and computer. When I arrived, I was bewildered by the choices. There was Cat5e, FastCat5e, Cat6e, Patch, LAN, Network, Twisted vs. Double Twisted pair, Snagless, Cross Over, etc. As I stood there looking at my choices, the thought "Huh?" went through my head several times. I finally walked out with a cable suggested by one of the "experts", but I was still bewildered by the seemingly endless choices.

If anyone cares to explain all the wonderful options, I thought it would be an excellent addition to our Tutorial and Reference.

Thanks.
