Karen,

I'm not sure there is a way to get rid of it, since the Links folder is designed to attach to the menu bar. Somehow, the two are "hardwired" together. I finally stopped fighting it, and decided to use it on the menu bar. Now, I can't be without it, as it's so convenient.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the "Links" folder under favorites in IE?  I keep deleteing it, but it keeps coming back...argh!  Finally got rid of the "Media" folder sucessfully, but "Links" is proving to be stubborn.

P.S.  Currently using IE 6.0 Beta, but had the same issue with IE 5.0 & 5.5
