Whizbang,

I had a flat tire on the rear of our work pickup truck that my coworker and I changed. We then found no one could replace an 18" tire. This was between Little Rock and Texarkana. We decided to get the blown tire replaced in Dallas, TX where we are now for a Gas Machinery Conference. I noticed they had some bridge peers going up beside the interstate with little outlines of the state of Texas on them. We stopped looking for a tire place after the first couple of exits. After we reached Texarkana, we decided to not stop for tires and just head toward Dallas as planned.

Sorry I did not get to see you.  In spite of everything, Texarkana is one of the best places in America to find restaurants.  It is even listed on top ten lists.  I am not sure anyone between Little Rock and Texarkana knows what an 18" "tar" is.   ;D  You probably would have had to go to a specialty truck center, anyway.

We had the blown tire replaced at National Tire and Battery in Dallas, TX.

Mark H; Too bad dinner will be long past Texarkana on the way home.
