DivX Player

Although the technology is interesting, the DivX player package that I installed keeps trying to open audio and video files that I have set to open with Winamp.  The files are not compatible with DivX, and it keeps freezing the screen if I try playing a CD.  The only way I can play the files is from a hard drive.  DivX will not completely uninstall either, making the problem more acute because I keep getting error messages about not being able to access certain plugins, etc.  I would avoid this player until they get the bugs out, if they ever do.
