ABit has come up with an interesting exit strategy - sell the mainboard business and change the name of the remainder of the company:

Let's wait and see. Abit PR people are saying that Abit will gain financial stability and continue to design and manufacture motherboards, using their existing R&D team and USI's manufacturing facilities.

By the way, Abit is holding a Great ABIT End-User Survey, in which they ask for your opinions about their boards. It requires registration and answering the surveys, but they are holding daily giveaways. So go try to win a motherboard!
