I just want to say that I'm using this to write backup zipfiles (split into 700MB increments or so) tto DVD. It's working fine. I'm looking at HP's website and seeing RecordNow 6.5, and I think mine is a lot older than that. I'm wodnering where to download this...but I'll probably find that out soon enough. The other thing I'm wondering is whether it'll work with other recorders. I'm supposing yes, as it's made by Veritas; it's just another of those 'branded' things.

Chances are the HP is an OEM version tied to your recorder, and that if you need a newer version (upgrade) you can buy it at a discount.

I actually downloaded from a link poasted at Poasters. I don't think it's tied to my recorder. The later version that was I had to uninstall because of the DVD drive problem (more likely an HP tech support problem).
