Scuzzy,

Another one I find useful:

Alt-PrtScn will copy everything you see on screen to clip board which then can be pasted into word processor.

Or into a graphics program like Paint Shop Pro. Then you can save the screen shot as a .jpg file, send it in email, etc. Or upload it and poast it here.

Thanks, Don. I know that trick, too, but often forget it. It sure comes in handy at times.

I've always wondered what the 2 keys to the right of Print Screen do in Windoze.

da5id - Those keys are used by individual programs. For example, in Excel, the Scroll Lock key converts the function of the Arrow keys to scroll the entire worksheet, instead of moving just one cell at a time.

In Windows 98, you can minimize all your programs at once by pressing the "Windows" and "D" (for Desktop) keys at the same time. In Windows NT, press "Windows" and "M" (for minimize) keys at the same time. Add the "Shift" key to the combination to reverse the effect. For example, Shift-Windows-M (in Win NT) gets everything back up at once.

In MS Internet Explorer, pressing the "Esc" key has the same effect as clicking on the "Stop" button. To move forward, use the Alt-Right Arrow key combination. To move back, use the Alt-Left Arrow combination. If you want to refresh the screen, press the "F5" key.

Do you want to quickly shut down a program? Use the Alt-F4 key combination.

Here's a few more:

Ctrl-A = Highlight all

Ctrl-C = Copy whatever is highlighted (or a cell)

Ctrl-V = Paste

Ctrl-P = Print

Shift-Arrow (left or right) = Highlight one character at a time

Ctrl-Shift-Arrow (left or right) = Highlight one word at a time (or double-click the word)

Ctrl-Shift-End = Highlight to the end of the document

Ctrl-Shift-Home = Highlight to the beginning of the document
