WIN XP dialup settings keep changing

My primary dialup settings keep changing in WIN XP. I suspect that IE is changing them but I havent't been able to conform. I use internet connection sharing so I need to keep it set on "allow other users to use this connection" (or something similiar to that I think it is). Also, my login password is changing as well. I can't tell if my login is changing as WIN XP doesn't display that.



To explain better .......

1) I have IE set to "do not dialup".

2) The bullet gets changed from "allow others" to "allow only me"

3) It appears as though the connection PW gets changed to something longer.

4) Can't tell if the login name changes.



This only seems to happen is I use IE. It may only be happening because I have to change my IE settings depending upon whether or not I am tunneled into work or not (different DNS settings required). It's hard to say.



Anyone have any ideas?



It's really messing with my other PCs on the network as they can't dial-up via the ICS Server PC when this happens.
