A very happy and safe Thanksgiving wish to all of you as well.

Just got done putting that beast in the oven to take to the sister-in-laws later this afternoon.

Low and slow, that's the way to cook that bird.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Our bird has been in the oven since 6:00 a.m. and will be the main course around 1:30 this afternoon. Remember to be safe and just relax and enjoy the day.

Mark H: Is it time to eat yet?

I've never had the chance to deep fry a turkey, nor have I had the chance to taste of one that has been deep fried. I do know a fellow that managed to catch his basement on fire while making the attempt. I don't exactly understand why one would try to deep fry a turkey in the basement, fortunately they did have an extinguisher on had and got the fire out before it spread.

I think I would try cooking one, but so far getting together all the items to do one has seemed like a whole lot of bother.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone except Ace!

I'd wish Ace a happy Thanksgiving, but since he doesn't lurk or anything there's no sense in wasting electrons by extending this message out to include him in any good wishes of jewels, Tide, and various Merlot.

Scuzzy; why is this in the Funny Bone?

Well, I for one do think that Turkeys look funny when they walk. From that point of view, it kind of fits.

Scuzzy looks funny when he walks, or just sits.

Tryptophan is in all meats, including me today.  I think the hardest part of doing a deep fry turkey is the gravy.. especially if you add a little water to the flour.

Ace; we're going out for a burger tonight.
