i have been seeing alot of unusual stuff on my computer...tons of newspaper links...tons... and i definitely didnt save any of them...newsweek has become my homepage on its own...anyway, i have pretty much gotten rid of everything but i was checking the "msconfig" then "startup" option...in there is a startup item: RUNDLL32, and COMMAND: RUNDLL32.EXE NVQTwk,NwCplDaemon initialize....
can i stop this from running on startup? are is it something vital? i didnt even know what it was but with the word Daemon in it i thought it was a source of some of my problems... any insight would be helpful, thanks

If you have an nVidia video card, it's part of the driver suite.

A daemon is a process (usually UNIX, but can be ported elsewhere) that runs in the background.
