This is an excellent C++ compiler.  Borland are well established in the industry.  It is one of the best ANSI-C++ compilers on the market.

I personally use Visual C++ from Microsoft - but this is a real alternative.  Borland have often released 'free-to-use' compilers, to encourage the use of product and language.  The 'enterprise' editions are usually very expenisve ($2,500); these are aimed at the professional level.

If you're interested in C/C++ programming, you will find the product essential.
