Do any of you have experience with recertified items from newegg...
theres a 7800gt for 129 thats recert...

is it worth the risk?
there is a 15 day  refund period should it be defective

It has the same standard return policy as the new ones and it has the same manufacturer's warranty. It should be fine if you want to get it.

Open box items are a different story in that they could be missing accessories or documentation, but that does not apply to refurbed or recertified items.

Enjoy the nature that is around you rather than destroying it.

Actually if you look at the pictures on recertified items it clearly states.

Quote:
The pictures shown are from the NEW version of this item. The manufacturer Recertified product may differ in packaging and accessories, but will usually be comparable with new versions. On occasion accessory items may or may not be included, and/or substituted. Accessories are shown in the pictures so that customers will know what may be missing.

So I would think you may or may not get the extras.
