Title: All-Time Rock 'n Roll Jam
Post by: scuzzy on March 11, 2009, 23:27 hrs
By far my favorite rock 'n roll jam is Frankenstein (http://songza.com/z/kzjv9x) by Edgar Winter Group. There are plenty of others that top my list, but this one rocks indefinitely for me.

There's a great Midnight Special version through this YouTube link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spb4_ym5GdA).

Geez, I don't think I've listened to that Frankenstein piece since high school.
Ah, the memories.

I saw Zappa once, years ago. A very talented entertainer. I never bought any of his stuff, but I had a friend that had it all so listened to it a lot.

The Twelve Dreams is/was an all time favorite, many nights were finished with that way back when.

The root word of "Fandango" is "dang."

I too only owned Hot Rats.  As it's on album, and I'm sure beat to death, I don't expect to hear it again soon.  Especially as the turntable is in the garage now...  What all do you need to copy albums to CD?  Keeping in mind I've got none of it, save a USB port pack.

I much preferred Johnny Winter.  He's on the latest Clapton Crossroads guitar fest, and the "Johnny Winter And" live with Rick Derringer was an awesome show.  Frankenstein, along with "Tubular Bells", made for some verrrrry long instrumental breaks. You know, I used to watch Dweezil's TV show he had with his sister (Moonglow? Moonbeam? Moonshine?) and I think brother Ahmat was on it too.  Not that it was around for long...

Ace: Kokomo IN has a dynamo hum.

I love Johnny Winter's Rock & Roll Hoochie Koo (http://songza.com/z/v2knvb) version.

Oh, you just love to hold the album cover in front of your face and let that weird 3D effect take control...

Like being 2000 light years from home...

Ace; I always liked Brian best.
