If I was to try to sell you something you could be assured that I would only sell you something I would buy myself.  If I don't feel good about something I don't push it on others.  As a matter of fact, I go to the source and try to change what I don't like about it.  But if it's something so bad, I wouldn't waste my time with the company in the first place.



As for the knowlege being stuffed in your head, or your contention that it might not get there, perhaps it isn't the exact knowledge you need to retain as much as to just learn where to go to get the answers. Saves a lot of space for other things, or nothing at all.  But as long as you keep coming here I am sure someone will have a resolution to any difficulties you may encounter.



BTW--I do have a Q.  Well, sort of.  Part of it is a Q, the rest I built myself. I like hybrids.  Actually, I just like having control over what goes in my sys.  And I like to get under the hood.  I get to know my computers as intimately as I do my car.



Alright, so now you all know I am a multifaceted technology junkie.  I can't help it.
