On with the show...
« on: Jan 01, 2007, 12:26 PM »
Well, we finally did it. I'm not sure what we did yet, but let there be no doubt that we did it.

Welcome to the latest and greatest Poasters Computer Forums. We have worked tirelessly behind the scenes in making this happen. The new site is not yet fully polished, but we're resting until we are completely finished. There are still some areas that we are working on, and we still have a lot of administrative work that must get the top priority... for now.

Not only did we go with all new software, but we also went with a new host provider. Well, new for us. We chose Lunarpages over FutureQuest, mostly because it's a better value. FutureQuest is an outstanding host provider, but we are forced to be mindful of our expenses. We spent a LOT of time searching for a suitable replacement, and we are very hopeful that Lunarpages will meet our needs for a long time to come.

We will continue making changes and adjustments over the next few days. We might try some new things that are later adjusted, or outright removed if it doesn't work to our expectations. But no matter what, Poasters will maintain the high standards you've all come to expect.

TIP: Click on your profile button (up top), then under Modify Profile (left frame) click on Look and Layout Preferences. Make adjustments to the Time Offset if needed, then take a close look at the "Use quick reply on topic display" option near the bottom. I have mine selected to "show, on by default". This allows for quick replies at the bottom of each thread.

Also, please let us know if something isn't working properly. We are still making adjustments, so it will be helpful to get your feedback.
