My underlying gripe, I guess, is that plumbers and doctors seem to think they are doing you a favor.
Both keep you waiting, are typically very expensive to deal with and have an attitude.  As if I have nothing better to do than sit in the waiting room looking at magazines that are 2 years old and trying to avoid the sneezing and coughing going on around me.

Don't get me started on my local plumbers....

Ok, I'll bite.  And have another pint.  Where does your plumber put the thermometer if you say you don't want it orally?

Everything old is new again....Old Timers does that to people.  One distinct advantage is you're always making new friends, for a minute or so.
