Is it worth it to purchase a hard drive that supports ATA/133 instead of one with ultra ATA 100? I heard that today's hard drives arent yet fast enough to support the extra bandwidth. If thts so then whats the point of purchasing them in the first place?

From reports I have seen, the data cable is going to need to be improved to enable much faster transfer.  RAID advocates try to push the finer strand IDE cables with more ground shielding.  I have been more concern with price and stability than data throughput speed.  Cheap, I guess.  :-\
