i'm going through this instruction:
48-Bit LBA Support for ATAPI Disk Drives in Windows 2000
and i'm trying to create the entry (i have sp4 installed but its not there for some reason) and it's just this bit i'm concerned about

On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry value:
Value name: EnableBigLba
Data type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 0x1

i've created a DWORD with that value name, but where it asks for value data do i just press '1' ? there's all this about hex or decimal, and i can't press 'x' in that field. i know in these cases 0=disabled and 1=enabled and i presume the 0x1 is 0x00000001 but considering what i'm changing i just want to make absolutely sure!

Fixed link, pat

Hi Sentofuno.

You're correct.  Give the DWORD a Hex value of 1 and click ok.
