Title: Free one year AV subscriptions.
Post by: pat on October 22, 2009, 05:50 hrs
Found this over at Neowin. (http://www.neowin.net/news/software/09/10/22/free-1-year-anti-virus-subscriptions-for-your-windows-7-pc) You can follow the links they have poasted for access to one year virus subscriptions from three different manufacturers. Not sure if this is only for Windows Seven or can be used on others.

Good to know. Thanks for passing that along, Pat.

For now I will probably stay with MS Security Essentials, which is free. I still might give one of those suites a spin.

EDIT: Hmmm... of the 3 choices, Kapersky Internet Security 2010 is the only one I would consider. However, it's only available to Windows 7 launch party attendees.

Thanks for the info, the Kasperkey link wasn't live this morning when I looked at it. I'll probably be using the MS product for the time being as well.

Looks like I'll be getting my Windows 7 preorders tomorrow. I've been reading that one can use the upgrade version to upgrade from an activated Windows 7 RC with no previous windows installed, I may try that and if it works I'll make an image of it to use for reinstalls.
