Hello, I've been working with building a raid computer and I've gotten stuck.

I'm running a FastTrak100 TX2 Raid controller, with four 40gig HDDs in WinXP.

Windows sees the drives and everythings properly configured with the raid controllers, but I would like to boot off the Raid.

Is this even possible?
WindowsXP is currently booting off an extra 5th HDD on the normal IDE chain. But when this drive is removed, it give me a no boot disk present error.

Thank-you for your time!

Yes, it's possible - but you will likely have to reinstall Windows to get it to work.  Boot from the CD, and have the Promise drivers handy on a floppy.  Press F6 when indicated to pause the boot process and search for the floppy, then continue the installation.

Make sure you install the recovery console afterward (winnt32 /cmdcons from \i386) and keep an emergency rescue disc handy - it can be trickier to repair Windows installations on arrays if the need arises.

Thank-you very very much!
I've been loosing my mind with this one!
