I am building a budget computer for someone and need a beige case that is well built.  I have used the slk1600 from antec in the past but that is hard to come by.  Is there a model out there that is the same price point as the slk1600?  Around 50 -55 delivered?  Also the same quality build?  I really like antec.  I can't find it for under 65 now except one place and they only have two and others had it but can't get it any more.  HELP>

I can personally recommend FOXCONN cases, available at NewEgg.com. These are budget cases that are amazingly well built for the price, as well as quiet. They are not quite at the level of Antec cases, but they are close. They are also much cheaper, and look very nice.

Here's the newegg selection: FOXCONN Cases

The one I purchased is: FOXCONN TLN436 which I would definitely buy again. Note that this is a MicroATX case, which requires a MicroATX motherboard.

I can't really speak for the power supply units that come with them, though. I immediately pulled out the one that came with the case I received, and replaced it with an Antec 300W PSU I had hanging around.

I think that the Antec slk1600 has been succeeded by the slk1650, which is why you have difficulty locating a 1600. Unfortunately, its pricing averages around $80 delivered from reputable dealers.

Maybe this one would interest you?
Chenming 301KE
It is a very basic case - nothing fancy - but Chenming makes solid cases.

I know this is REALLY late but take a look at the Antec B site - apparently some minor damage etc.  Never used it but sure look like some bargains there.

Those are some terrific prices, if you don't mind the occasional scratch and ding.

Thanks for pointing that out, HoTO!  :)

I found and Antec 1650 for $60 delivered and that has a 3 year warranty on all of the case and psu and fan.  I'll pay 10 bucks more and not get B stock and a better warranty.  Found it on ajump.com.  Ordered it Friday and it will be here on Wed.
