Just was given this laptop by a friend who got fed up with about 6 keys (afnc,.) usually have to hold the key down for a while to get it to work. Then get repeates I have to delete although sometimes they work better than other times. Especially bad with shift key. Seems better after the thing warms up for an hour or so. Do I need  a new keyboard or would cleaning help and if so how do I do that? Thanks

You could try blowing the keys out with compressed air, but most likely the only permanent solution will be a new keyboard.
