Someone else here recently had this problem. We were not able to discover the exact cause, but perhaps our thoughts might help to solve your ACPI problem:

I found a on a Google search...several issues that involved memory...I switched my memory sticks ..all is well so far

This seems to be a problem with Win2000...it is deceiving because the MoBo & BIOS are new & updated....The BIOS does not seem to be the issue...it is an apparent memory issue with plug and play in W2K

I am guessing...because it is an intermittent problem...but with the new memory all is well so far...(fingers being crossed)

Tks all for your help
