That looks fine.  As for SATA vs ATA there is no performance benefit, just tidier looking cabling (which can be worked around with ATA anyway).

The current difference in data throughput between SATA and ATA is negligible.   :-\ Though I hear that in the future, SATA will have a expanded throughput that will render PATA obsoletum.

300watts is on the lower side for a new system, but I'm running a similar Athlon system with 250w, so you should be fine. As long as it works, it's sufficent.

hey guys....im really burning here...
i bought the creative 5.1 5200
and when i set my sound card to 5.1, the sub just distorts....like it just rumbles instead of the normal sound...can anyone help plz?

Its probabley because the bass is turned up to much in Volume Control >> Options >> Advanced Controls (cheeck that) >> Under Playback or Master Volume (or whatever turns the volume of everything up and down) >> Advanced >> There'll be a bass slider, try turning that down

9600SE Xtreme!

That's an oxymoron if I ever saw one. (since SE versions are slower, not xtreme, in case you're not getting it.)

I would have opted for a 9600 or pro, but if you got a good deal on it or aren't a big graphics person, it should be fine.

Not so quick, 16MB cache IDE drives are ont he way. But overall in the much...much later future yes SATA will win out. PCI-X will overtake AGP long before SATA takes over IDE PATA ino. Might be interesting to watch though. Native SATA needs to be way - way more refined.
