Title: Keyboard doesn't work sometimes when returning from hibernation
Post by: Carskick on March 03, 2008, 12:53 hrs
My laptop has basically done this since I bought it. Every one in a while, I will turn it on from hibernation, and the keyboard doesn't work. If I put it into standby, then turn it back on, keyboard works!

Any ideas on why this is an how to fix it? The computer is an MSI 1039. I have tried unistnalling they keyboard and reinstalling it. It is just using the generic windows keyboard driver.

Do you have Synpatics touchpad drivers installed?  They can sometimes do screwy things like this.

Yes I do!

How can I fix this? I need a touchpad driver that allow me to disable the touchpad, as I have no hardware button for it.

Spoke to soon, it did it again.

What touchpad drivers are available that allow for disabling the touchpad, yet won't screw up my keyboard.
